Katie Price has publicly apologized to Myleene Klass following a sharp comment she made about her, referring to Klass as a “clone” during a live show.
The former glamour model, now 47, made the controversial statement about Klass while on tour with her friend Kerry Katona, after finding out that Myleene had received an MBE in July.
Initially, Katie criticized Myleene as a “clone,” insinuating that her MBE was awarded for simply “playing the classical piano,” while also lambasting the television industry as corrupt.
However, in a recent episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie acknowledged her mistake, revealing she was unaware that Myleene had earned the MBE for her advocacy in raising awareness about miscarriages and women’s health.
Having shared her own experiences with miscarriage, Katie expressed admiration for Myleene’s efforts and offered a heartfelt apology for her previous remarks.
Katie’s sister, Sophie, brought up the topic, mentioning that both she and their mother had reprimanded Katie after hearing her initial comments.
Katie Price has issued a grovelling apology to Myleene Klass after she branded the star a ‘clone’ in a scathing on-stage dig in the wake of her being awarded an MBE
Myleene was awarded an MBE in July for services to women’s health, miscarriage awareness and charity, but Katie remarked the star had been honoured for ‘playing the classical piano’
She said: ‘Right, on my show I’ve just done with Kerry, there was a quote, and it wasn’t aimed at Myleene, an old quote of mine, ”these days anyone can get an MBE but I’ve never been given one when I do a lot for charity and stuff.”
‘And I said people like Myleene Klass, what is she known for? Playing the classical piano, because I don’t read about Myleene, and I’ve met Myleene and I’ve always liked Myleene. I think I did Loose Women with her sometimes, and it wasn’t a direct dig at her.
‘What I’m saying is people like Myleene Klass have the same management as most of the TV people out there, presenters and that, and I call them all the clones, because they all have the same management, and they all come out as if they’re smelling of roses. They’re all under the same umbrella, the same kind of managers.
‘Now I never apologise unless I’m in the wrong. I did not know on my life, now I know why she did get an MBE. She done something about miscarriages, and that’s very close to my heart as I’ve also had miscarriages and at late stages in pregnancy, so I commend her for that and I apologise to her.
‘But I don’t mean it like the clone bit, it’s not that she’s a clone of anyone else, I meant they’re all a clone, they’re all in the same management.
‘So for me, for her to do the miscarriage and stuff, I apologise to her because I didn’t know she did that.’
Katie went on to say: ‘From me to Myleene, I sincerely apologise because it’s a good cause she does it for. Apologies from me, that will teach me for not reading into it, and talking before I knew that she deserved to get an MBE.’
Just last week, Katie launched an astonishing attack on Myleene during an interview with Closer Magazine.
On a new episode of her podcast, Katie confessed she wasn’t aware Myleene was actually given the MBE for raising awareness of miscarriages, and said she ‘sincerely apologises’
She said: ‘I’m not against this for her, but why the f**k has Myleene Klass got an MBE? For playing the classical piano?
‘This industry is so corrupt. They have the same managers, they’re all clones – they all win MBEs and are fronting TV.
‘But behind the scenes, they’re worse than we are. T**ds are what they are!’
During the podcast, Katie also broke her silence on her decade-long feud with Kelly Brook, while hitting out at their shared ex Danny Cipriani.
The pair have famously had a strained relationship and exchanged a string of swipes over the years, with both also enjoying a romance with rugby player Danny Cipriani.
Katie had also previously blasted Kelly in a 2013 column where she branded her a ‘heffer’, with the model then hitting out at her rival for the ‘unladylike’ remarks.
But speaking in a new episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show, the reality star said she ‘doesn’t remember’ her negative comments about Kelly,
Adding that she was ‘rooting’ for Kelly in the jungle, she also blasted their shared ex Danny, calling him a ‘k**b and a player.’
Danny and Kelly dated for around two years between 2008 and 2010, with both accusing the other of infidelity during their romance.
A year after splitting from Kelly, Danny went on to date Katie following her marriage split from Alex Reid, but this ended when she claimed he’d cheated on her.
Speaking to her sister Sophie about her former boyfriend, Katie poked fun at the size of Danny’s manhood before declaring: ‘He’s a player.’
Sophie added: ‘He was an absolute k**b to you that guy. I remember Dad meeting him and even Dad was like ‘he’s a k**b.’
Referring to her barbed comments about Kelly, the model said: ‘ I can’t remember calling her a heffer, she’s always been bigger built than me she’s always had that voluptious figure.
‘What did I say at the beginning of the show? Stunning, beautiful so there you go. I am rooting for Kelly! From one glamour girl to another!’
