Donald Glover recently shared insights into a health crisis that led to the cancellation of his tour last year. Initially described as an “ailment,” Glover disclosed during a performance on Saturday night that a medical professional informed him he had suffered a stroke.

Performing under his stage name Childish Gambino, Glover revealed this personal news while on stage at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles. The revelation quickly gained traction on social media platforms.

“You all voted for a ‘where have I been monologue,'” Glover, aged 42, remarked. “I experienced severe head pain in Louisiana but proceeded with the show. My vision was impaired, so upon reaching Houston, I sought medical help. That’s when the doctor informed me I had experienced a stroke.”

Expressing a sense of disappointment in himself, Glover lamented not yet visiting Ireland. He further disclosed that doctors discovered a heart defect, leading to him undergoing two surgical procedures.

Glover reflected, “They say everyone has two lives, and the second begins when you realize you only have one. Cherish it, guys, and I must say, the life I’ve shared with all of you has been an incredible blessing.”

His representatives have yet to offer any comments on the matter.
