In a recent incident in Gainesville, Florida, a Sarasota County resident, Zoe Suzan Wiencek, aged 45, found herself under arrest after an alleged disruption at a local convenience store. The commotion reportedly included her giving a false name to law enforcement and an altercation involving spitting at a deputy.

Events unfolded around 1:10 p.m. on November 22, when an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a Circle K located at 9303 NW 93rd Avenue. A caller had reported a woman causing a scene by yelling at another customer and making an attempt to grab the customer’s child. The situation escalated when the woman allegedly pulled down her pants, exposing her genitals.

Upon arrival, the deputy identified a woman fitting the description provided by the caller. She introduced herself as “Jessie Lee,” born in 1979, though the deputy quickly discovered there were no records matching that name and birthdate.

During their interaction, the deputy observed the woman sipping from an open can of beer while standing on a public sidewalk, which contravenes Alachua County’s open container laws. Consequently, the deputy proceeded to arrest her not only for violating the open container ordinance but also for providing false identification details to a law enforcement officer.

The deputy reported that while he was speaking with the woman, she took a drink from an open can of beer on a public sidewalk, a violation of Alachua County’s open container ordinance.

The deputy arrested the woman for the open container violation and providing false identification information to a law enforcement officer.

In the patrol car, the woman reportedly complained that the handcuffs were too tight; when a deputy checked the handcuffs, the woman allegedly tried to spit on the deputy and said, “Enjoy the AIDS.”

At the jail, the woman was identified as Wiencek, with a date of birth in 1980.

Wiencek, whose address is listed as General Delivery in Sarasota County, has been charged with violating the County’s open container ordinance, providing false identification information to a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer without violence, and assaulting a law enforcement officer. Her full criminal history is unavailable, but she has arrests in Hernando and Manatee counties. Judge Robert Groeb set bail at $60,000.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
