Currently on the market for a staggering $10 million, a vast Texas ranch shrouded in tales of hidden treasure is attracting attention.

Encompassing over 1,200 acres, Bullhead Mountain Ranch is steeped in local folklore. The land, once a campsite for Spanish soldiers, has fueled stories passed down through the generations.

Located in Barksdale, Real County, the ranch is approximately two hours from San Antonio. It was officially listed at $9,990,000 last November.

According to legend, soldiers traversing the Nueces Canyon area centuries ago hid their gold and coins along their path.

‘Some say that Bullhead Mountain conceals buried coins and gold, untouched for generations, giving this part of the ranch an undeniable sense of history and mystery,’ broker West and Swope Ranches said on the listing

The ranch, named after the adjacent Bullhead Creek, has captured local imagination due to the intriguing tales associated with it.

Its listing has reignited curiosity about the potential treasures that might lie beneath its vast expanse.

Bullhead Ranch’s main lodge, at around 4,868 square-feet, is a single-story, five bedroom home with three and a half baths.

The spacious living area features a grand stone fireplace and high, wood-paneled vaulted ceilings.
