OCKLAWAHA, Fla. – A significant fire incident on Friday drew numerous firefighters to a dual-structure blaze in Ocklawaha, Marion County.
According to updates shared on social media, Marion County Fire Rescue teams were summoned around 7:30 p.m. to the 18000 block of South East 105th Lane, following multiple 911 calls reporting a house engulfed in flames and a nearby shed also burning.
By 8:31 p.m., firefighters had successfully contained the blaze, and fortunately, there were no injuries.
In total, eight fire rescue units from various stations, including South Forest Station #6, East Marion #4, Shady #16, Weirsdale #27, Belleview #18, Spruce Creek #30, Rolling Greens #28, and Battalion Chief #2, responded to the scene.
The American Red Cross was also on hand to provide the affected family with essential support and resources.
Investigators are currently working to determine the fire’s cause and origin.
