Speaking at the ceremony on Tuesday, Murphy praised Paulson’s versatility, stating, “Sarah the Magnificent can embody any character; she can transform into anyone.”
Joining in the celebration, Paulson’s close friend, actress Amanda Peet, shared heartfelt remarks from the stage, highlighting Paulson’s journey from a young girl in Tampa with a wall adorned with cutouts of stars, to becoming a star herself.
Actress Holland Taylor, Paulson’s partner, also offered her own tribute to the actress, addressing the gathered crowd.
Paulson’s partner, actress Holland Taylor, also addressed the crowd.
“Her acting is as honest as a vow of faith and as complicated as chemistry,” she said.
After the ceremony, Paulson told ABC7: “It’s a little out-of-body to sit there and be forced to listen to everybody say nice things about you and to talk about your work in a way that feels full of reverence.”
“It’s just a little dizzying but I’m trying to take it all in,” she added.
Paulson’s star is right next to Murphy’s on Hollywood Boulevard near Hudson Avenue.
