A New Jersey couple and a man from Washington have been sentenced for extorting nearly $87,000 from a victim in Washington County, Tennessee, in 2023—a crime that tragically resulted in the victim’s death. According to a Department of Justice (DOJ) announcement, Chinagorom Onwumere, age 36, and Salma Abdalkareem, age 29, were involved in this case.
