CHICAGO (WLS) — Tracy Butler, a meteorologist from ABC7 Chicago, teamed up with a renowned north suburban chef on Thursday for a segment called “Cooking up a Storm.”

Avli Winnetka is set to unveil its spacious new location on Monday, featuring a vinyl-themed bar and lounge.
During the cooking segment, Butler collaborated with Avli’s executive chef, Jorge Angelo, to prepare a zesty Greek feta dip.
Green Tirokafteri Recipe
This recipe is perfect for 4-6 servings.
Ingredients:
– 2 cups crumbled feta (from 16 oz.)
– 1 cup ricotta cheese (from 8 oz.)
– 1 1/2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
– 2 serrano peppers, roasted and seeded
– 1/4 cup fresh dill
– 1/4 cup fresh parsley
– 1/4 cup fresh oregano
– 1 roasted garlic clove
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
Instructions
1. Make the Green Sauce: In a blender or food processor, combine the roasted serrano peppers, roasted garlic, dill, parsley, oregano, olive oil, cumin, and coriander. Blend until smooth and vibrant green.
2. Fold Into Cheeses: In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta and ricotta. Add the green sauce and fold gently until fully incorporated and evenly marbled.
3. Chill & Serve: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve with warm pita, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
