In a dramatic turn of events, fourteen Australians found themselves embroiled in legal trouble in Bali as authorities cracked down on Bonnie Blue, a content creator known for stirring controversy. The arrests were part of a police operation targeting Blue for engaging in activities deemed pornographic.
Currently, Bonnie Blue remains in custody in Kuta following her detention. The 26-year-old, despite being banned from entering Australia, has been openly sharing her Bali exploits on social media, coinciding with the Schoolies celebrations.
Blue’s escapades reportedly included traveling in a utility vehicle and recruiting young men for her tour, raising eyebrows and prompting the police’s swift response. During the raid, law enforcement officials confiscated various items, including camera gear and clothing, potentially tied to the alleged activities.
As the dust settled, the fourteen Australian men who were initially detained were eventually released without any charges filed against them. This incident shines a spotlight on the ongoing challenges of policing social media-driven content and the international laws that sometimes complicate such cases.
Police have confirmed they have seized several items, including camera equipment and clothing.
The 14 Australian men who were arrested have all been released without charge.
Many of the men were seen leaving the police station, covering their faces, but also filming.
A 28-year-old Australian man remains in custody, along with two British men and Bonnie Blue herself.
She is expected to undergo further questioning.
