A young FIFO worker, aged 25, who went missing after failing to catch his flight at Perth Airport, has been discovered deceased.

William Carter arrived at Perth Airport T3 about 12.40pm (GMT) on December 6 to travel to the Pilbara for his working stint, but never made his flight.

Rather than boarding his plane, he spent approximately an hour and a half at the airport before departing in a taxi around 2:10 p.m., heading towards Trigg Beach.

About half an hour later, he was last spotted near a surf club on West Coast Drive.

Authorities have now confirmed the discovery of a body.

Although formal identification is pending, it is believed that the body is that of Carter.

The police have stated there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and they are in the process of preparing a report for the coroner.

Carter’s family had serious concerns about his welfare.

He had smiled in a photo with his mum hours before she dropped him off outside the terminal.
