Visitors at Disneyland Paris were taken aback this week as the theme park was engulfed in trash, following a strike by cleaning staff over grievances about ‘poor working conditions.’

On Monday, thousands of eager guests arrived at Disneyland in Paris, only to be met with an unexpected sight.

The typically immaculate park was littered with garbage, leaving many attendees shocked.

Many visitors quickly turned to social media platforms like X, Instagram, and TikTok to share images and videos of the disarray, expressing that the overwhelming litter tarnished the ‘Disney magic.’

Social media clips showed pieces of trash all over the ground at the entrance, as Disney’s cleaning staff stood around banging litter pickers onto trash cans.

‘Taking my children to Disneyland Paris for the first time and this is the first thing that met us!’ one woman captioned a video that showcased the garbage. ‘Not the magical welcome we expected.’

Reports from park attendees described ‘overflowing bins, debris on the pathways, and unsanitary conditions in rest areas.’

Sources indicate that the disruption was caused by a walkout of employees from ONET Cleaning and Associated Services, a third-party cleaning contractor used by Disney, who were protesting over ‘poor working conditions.’

The area where they are protesting and where the trash covered the grounds was said to have ‘been blocked off to guests.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to ONET and Disneyland Paris for comment.

After the videos went viral, many fans debated the topic online, with some supporting the workers and others claiming there ‘had to be a better way’ for them to get what they wanted that wouldn’t impact guests.

‘No, sorry, there has to be a better way! I would be absolutely fuming walking into that with my son, and we are lucky to be able to go a couple of times per year. Imagine this is your first “magical” time and you turn up to all that,’ one user commented.

‘Cast members are the ones who make the magic happen and they deserve better treatment and pay,’ argued another.

‘We were there yesterday and it wasn’t a big deal at all – just walked right by, my kids had a blast and didn’t give it a second thought,’ shared someone else.

‘Good on them [for] standing up for better working conditions,’ applauded a different person.

‘To be honest, I think this is a disgraceful way to get your point across. Children going there for the first time want to see the magic, not a load of rubbish and disgruntled workers,’ read a fifth post.

A sixth shared their disappointment, writing, ‘I have been paying of for my family’s four-day Paris break for over a year I am taking my grandchildren for their first Disney experience but I am dreading it 1766122522. I was so excited.’

‘I was there on Saturday when this was going on… It’s a protest at the entrance and didn’t distract the kids from having a good time,’ said someone else.

‘It’s quickly forgotten about but I stand in solidarity with the workers. That park is absolutely spotless and the cleaners deserve better pay for the upkeep of the park.’

It comes after Disney World in Orlando, Florida, was furiously slammed online after it announced a shocking 150 percent price increase for a popular service.

Almost everyone who goes to the beloved theme park ends up buying something, whether it’s a stuffed animal for your child, one of the iconic popcorn buckets, some new ears or a cute sweatshirt.

Instead of lugging all your new Disney stuff through the airport or trying to fit them in your already-full luggage, guests have the option of sending products bought in the parks home for a fee.

The cost depends on the value of the items, and for years, that fee was capped at $40.

However, the service just got much more expensive, and fans are not happy about it.

It was revealed this week that Disney has increased shipping rates, and the maximum has now jumped from $40 to a whopping $99.99 – a 150 percent increase.

If your items total up to $100, it now costs $19.99 to ship them anywhere in the US, items costing $100.01 to $250 cost $34.99 to ship, while items costing $250.01 to $500 costs $74.99 to ship. Anything above that value costs $99.99 to ship.

International shipping ranges from $30 to $150, depending on the value of your items, increasing by $10 increments for every $50 in merchandise value.

‘To ship items, talk to a Cast Member in any gift shop for information. There is also a dedicated shipping station in Disney Springs, attached to the Marketplace Co-Op,’ Walt Disney World News Today reported.

Fans were outraged by the news, with one pointing out that it’s the park’s ‘steepest price increase’ as of late.

‘What the heck, that’s insane,’ one shocked X (formerly Twitter) user wrote in response to the announcement.

‘Disney hates their middle-class American customers. They’ve been telling us for years now,’ scathed another.

‘Disney truly hates its middle-class guests,’ agreed someone else.
