Fla. mom arrested for holding child underwater in fancy hotel pool: police

Shocking Incident: Florida Mom Arrested for Alleged Child Endangerment at Luxury Hotel Pool

In a shocking incident at a luxury hotel in Florida, a 36-year-old woman allegedly held a young boy underwater in a pool after accusing him of bullying her son, as reported by local police.

Tiffany Lee Griffith, from Fort Meyers, reportedly confronted the 6-year-old at the upscale Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando last Friday afternoon. According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Griffith was incensed after the boy allegedly dunked her son, also 6, during play.

Authorities claim that Griffith responded by forcefully pushing the boy underwater for several seconds. The child emerged from the pool visibly distressed and with a bleeding nose, promptly informing his parents about the ordeal, police stated.

Following the incident, Griffith reportedly got into a heated exchange with the boy’s mother before leaving the pool area, according to law enforcement.

Witnesses recounted that the altercation arose during a pool game involving three children, including the victim and Griffith’s son, which had escalated into aggressive splashing.

Witnesses reported that three children, including the victim and Griffith’s son, were playing in the pool when the “splashing became aggressive,” prompting the freak-out.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and booked at the Osceola County Jail where she is being held without bond, jail records show.
