Renowned street artist Banksy has seemingly confirmed that a new mural in London, featuring two children lying down and gazing at the sky, is indeed his latest creation.

On Monday, the enigmatic artist shared two photographs of the mural on his official Instagram page. This came just hours after the artwork appeared on the side of a building in Bayswater, West London, sparking curiosity and discussions about its origin.

The monochromatic mural, situated above a garage, portrays two children clad in winter attire, with one child pointing towards the sky.

A similar image surfaced at the base of a tower in central London on the same day, though Banksy did not share this version on his social media platform.

Banksy, who began his journey by spray-painting in Bristol, England, has risen to international fame, with his artworks fetching millions at auctions and occasionally attracting thieves and vandals.

Although Banksy is known for his politically charged pieces, often critiquing government policies on issues like migration and war, this latest mural appears to be free from any explicit political commentary.

In September he made headlines with a mural showing a judge holding a gavel looming over an unarmed protester holding a blood-splattered placard.

That piece, which appeared on an external wall of a Royal Courts of Justice building, was swiftly covered up and authorities said it had to be removed out of consideration of the building’s historical significance.
