The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee opened its doors on Monday to distribute holiday food boxes, bringing much-needed joy to many families in the Kingsport area. Hundreds gathered at the food bank’s headquarters, eager to receive complimentary holiday meals that included turkey or ham along with traditional side dishes. Among those who benefitted was Chris Sisson, who expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting, “A lot of people really need it.” The initiative provided a vital support system for families during the holiday season.
