As the New Year approaches, many individuals are contemplating how to kickstart healthier habits, with exercise often topping the list. For those with hectic schedules, Amazon offers a practical solution with its underdesk treadmill, now available at a substantial discount, making it an attractive option for incorporating fitness into daily routines.

The Urevo Under Desk Treadmill has dropped to £169.99 from its original price of £199.99, offering a 15% savings. Customers can choose from various designs, including a chic natural wood finish, a sleek black with and without green accents, and a modern light grey.

What sets this treadmill apart is its app-based control system, eliminating the need for a traditional control panel. The app provides a range of features such as workout customization, progress tracking, and settings adjustments. For users preferring simplicity, a remote control is also included.

Urevo highlights the treadmill’s additional silicone cushioning, which is crafted to absorb shock and ensure a smooth, comfortable workout. The motor operates quietly, enhancing the user experience. The package includes a manual, power cord, remote control, tool kit, and lubricant, ensuring users have everything needed to maintain their treadmill.

For those interested in an integrated LCD display, the New Image Fitt Mill Smart Bluetooth Treadmill & Walking Pad from Currys is a compelling option. Priced at £244, down from £299, it offers a £55 savings. The treadmill features a Bluetooth speaker, a holder for phones or tablets, auto-stop safety systems, and a remote control. It folds for convenient storage and reaches a top speed of 7.5 km/h.

Alternatively, budget-conscious shoppers might consider the Dynamax Running Pad 3.0 Treadmill from Argos, now available for £349, marked down from £549, providing a £200 discount. This model boasts premium features, including 12 incline levels, preset programs, a spacious running area measuring 120 by 46 cm, and a maximum speed of 15 km/h. Additionally, it comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Back to the Urevo Under Desk Treadmill 1-6 km/h, shoppers loved the unique features. One said: “The specific version I have is the Spacewalk One Lite. Been using [it] for around a month. Seems well made and sturdy. It is pretty small and light, so fairly easy to move and store. Has good functions, e.g. you can set a number of steps (or time or distance) and it will count down. It actually detects steps (unsure how), i.e. if you step off while it’s running it will stop counting the steps – which surprised me for a budget product.”

Another said: “Purchasing this treadmill has truly transformed my lifestyle. As a workaholic who spends long hours working from home, I used to suffer from back and waist pain due to prolonged sitting. But now, with this treadmill, I’m effortlessly incorporating healthy movement into my daily routine.”

A third added: “Great machine for walkers. Arrived very fast and the Bluetooth app is great to use instead of relying on the remote. Will come in handy for the Autumn and winter months with the incoming inclement weather. Thoroughly recommended for anyone wanting to stay fit or on a weight loss journey!”

Other shoppers felt differently however, for example the lack of a phone holder commonly found on other offerings. As part of a larger review, they said: “Only used it for one hour seems great, [the] app is better to control the speed as you can do it in .1 units instead of .5. Shame this model doesn’t have a hand rail thing to put your phone and stuff on. Takes a little while to get used to the width, and the plastic wood can damage easily if you knock it with your shoes.”

Another said: “I’ve not used this walking pad for long but I really like it, I purchased it so I could use it at an adjustable desk and change up my working day. It’s quiet, slightly lifted off the floor (so no burn/run marks on the carpet) and is much easier to store than the treadmills with arms. The only criticism for me is the controller slot on the pad itself has no way to secure/tuck away the wrist tie which is tempting for my pets to grab and chew! So it has to be stored elsewhere. Overall very pleased: slim, quiet, slightly raised, spot on.”
