A woman’s body has been discovered at a residence in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.

Authorities responded to a welfare check at a property on Joshua Street in Goulburn, situated roughly 90 kilometers from Canberra, around 7 a.m.

Upon arrival, local law enforcement had to forcibly enter the home, where they found the deceased woman.

While her identity has not yet been confirmed, police suspect the woman was in her 40s.

Police set up a crime scene with detectives from the Hume Police District and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report on the Crime Stoppers NSW website.
