Universal Orlando gears up for Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift coaster

ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando is revving up excitement with its upcoming roller coaster, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, slated to debut in 2027. This thrilling new ride will occupy the space formerly held by the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida, thrusting guests into the adrenaline-fueled world of the Fast & Furious franchise.

Enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing the heart-pounding thrill of 360-degree drifting, with riders propelled through breathtaking maneuvers. A standout feature of this attraction is a dramatic 170-foot vertical “spike,” launching riders nearly 17 stories high over the outskirts of Universal CityWalk, promising an unforgettable adventure.

In unveiling this coaster, Universal Orlando continues to enhance its repertoire of award-winning thrill rides, showcasing the resort’s dedication to cutting-edge innovation and exhilarating experiences. Meanwhile, Universal Studios Hollywood plans to introduce its version of the ride later this year, expanding the excitement coast to coast.

As Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift speeds into the spotlight, the existing Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction will close permanently in 2027. While Universal has yet to announce what will fill this space, anticipation is building for future developments.
