New Allegations Against Actor Timothy Busfield in Court Documents Filed This Week

Actor Timothy Busfield is currently facing allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor, but this isn’t the first time his behavior has been called into question. Decades prior, he was accused of sexually harassing Eliza Roberts, the sister-in-law of actress Julia Roberts, as revealed in newly surfaced depositions.

Eliza Roberts voluntarily provided a deposition, now obtained by DailyMail, recounting her unsettling experiences with Busfield. This came to light after a 17-year-old girl alleged that Busfield engaged in inappropriate behavior on the set of the 1993 film “Little Big League.”

Roberts detailed her encounters with Busfield, describing him as someone who “harassed and humiliated” her. She portrayed him as a “creep” who persistently pursued women, leaving her feeling uncomfortable and distressed.

“I read an article in a newspaper several weeks ago about a teenage girl who had worked on a set with Tim Busfield and she had accused him of lewd and harassing behavior,” Roberts stated in her 1995 deposition. “I was stunned to hear it because the same thing happened to me with him.”

In support of the teenage accuser, Roberts was joined by five other women who provided statements that backed the young plaintiff’s claims. Notably, three of these women were involved in the film’s production, adding credibility to the allegations.

The teenager recounted how Busfield persistently pursued her with inappropriate remarks, boasting about his supposed prowess in bed and disparaging his then-wife’s sexual abilities, according to the court documents.

Two of the five women claimed Busfield pursued them at bars, in a sexually aggressive manner.

Busfield denied the allegations, and the lawsuit eventually settled out of court in 1995.

Previous Video Coverage

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Busfield is now facing child abuse and criminal sexual contact with a minor charges.

The alleged incidents reported happened to twin brothers on the set of “The Cleaning Lady,” between 2022 and 2024, a criminal complaint stated.

Busfield, again, denied the allegations.

“I did not do anything to those little boys,” Busfield said in a video recorded in his attorney’s officer before he turned himself in to Albuquerque police.

“I’m going to fight it. I’m going to fight it with a great team, and I’m going to be exonerated. I know I am because this is all so wrong and all lies.”

Prosecutors wanted Busfield to remain behind bars without bond, arguing that he “poses an ongoing and serious danger to children and the community.”

New Mexico state District Court Judge David A. Murphy ultimately released Busfield on his own recognizance to await trial.
