Bristol, Va. — In a significant development, a woman has been sentenced on charges related to fentanyl possession following a routine traffic stop in March 2025. The Bristol Virginia Police Department (BVPD) reported that Kristi Nichole Sheffler was taken into custody on March 14, 2025, when officers discovered approximately 4.5 ounces of the potent narcotic in her vehicle.
