New Media Victory: Kid Rock Tops Bad Bunny on iTunes Chart After Halftime Show Face-Off

Following TPUSA’s “All America Halftime Show,” Kid Rock catapulted to the top of the iTunes chart with his cover of “‘Til You Can’t.” This astonishing leap dethroned Bad Bunny, who had previously led the charts after his high-profile performance at the NFL’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.

On February 9, Kid Rock’s rendition began its ascent on iTunes, closely trailing the original version by country artist Cody Johnson. By midday, both tracks had surpassed Bad Bunny’s hit, “DtMF,” which slipped to third place.

Kid Rock had delivered his version of “‘Til You Can’t” during the Turning Point USA “All America Halftime Show” on the previous Sunday evening.

Another artist from the TPUSA event also made significant strides on the chart. By late afternoon, Gabby Barrett’s “The Good Ones” climbed to fourth place, overtaking Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó,” which dropped to fifth.

Additionally, as of the article’s release, Barrett’s song “I Hope” had secured the sixth position on the iTunes chart.

In contrast, Bad Bunny’s track, “NUEVAYoL,” had descended to eighth place.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny’s “NUEVAYoL,” had fallen to the eighth slot on the list.

When the National football League booked rapper Bad Bunny to head up its Halftime Show at this year’s Super Bowl, TPUSA announced that it would hold its own show to rival the NFL’s event. The show came off without a hitch, but technical excellence wasn’t the only plaudit that TPUSA broadcast earned. The show was a smash hit garnering more than 25 million viewers across the several venues upon which it appeared, with more than six million on Youtube alone.

The full extent of the TPUSA audience won’t be known until later in the week, but the effort was a surprising hit for its genre
