Authorities have charged Dimond Crawford with four counts of attempted murder following an incident at the Victoria at Orange Park Apartments where he allegedly opened fire from his apartment, injuring two individuals.
In Orange Park, Florida, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office reported that a shooting occurred early Sunday morning, leading to serious charges against an 18-year-old man. The confrontation took place at an apartment complex on Wells Road shortly after midnight.
Responding to reports of gunfire, deputies arrived at the scene to find that Crawford had allegedly been shooting “recklessly” at a group of four people standing outside his residence. As the group attempted to flee, Crawford reportedly continued to fire at them.
Among the victims, two managed to escape unharmed, while the other two sustained injuries and were subsequently hospitalized. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening.
The sheriff’s office noted in their statement that the individuals involved were acquainted with each other and had a history of previous altercations.
“All parties involved are known to each other and reportedly have been involved in prior disputes,” the sheriff’s office said in the arrest announcement.
Crawford was booked into the Clay County jail on a $750,000 bond.
