Michigan McDonalds customer Casharra Brown pleads guilty to throwing coffee at employee

A Michigan woman has admitted to guilt in a case involving the assault of a McDonald’s employee with a “semi-warm” cup of coffee amid a heated dispute.

Casharra Brown, aged 49, found herself embroiled in an altercation at a Michigan McDonald’s on November 4, 2025. She alleged that her wait for food and coffee extended beyond an hour.

Reports from Fox News indicate that Brown had placed her order through the McDonald’s app.

However, complications arose as she failed to submit her name or payment details alongside the order.

Surveillance footage captured the moment Brown engaged in a confrontation with the cashier, during which she insisted on speaking with another employee and accused the staff member of being dishonest.

Expressing her frustration, Brown threatened to escalate the matter to the corporate level.

The pair argued over a transaction, with the staff member asserting that it had been cancelled and the refund would take up to 48 hours to process.

The staff member then walked away and Brown threw the hot coffee over her back. The staff member shrieked as Brown cursed her out, calling her a “b—h” and saying “f–k you” before storming out.

“Catch that hot a– coffee,” was also said.

It was later revealed that the staff member had not been hurt — as the coffee was only “semi-warm”, according to MLIVE.

The staff member simply did not want Brown to be able to return to the restaurant.

Buena Vista Police Department shared the video, which was filmed by another customer, on November 4.

Brown was arraigned and granted bond on the condition that she would not go to any McDonald’s restaurants.

Brown pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of assault and battery, Daily Mail reported.

She will have to travel from her home state of Georgia to Michigan in March for sentencing.

She faces a maximum sentence of 93 days in prison and a $500 fine.
