Nancy Mace bashes Ilhan Omar over Iran attack after ‘Squad’ rep claims US ‘loves to strike Muslim countries during Ramadan’

Outspoken Representative Nancy Mace from South Carolina expressed strong disapproval on Saturday towards Representative Ilhan Omar’s controversial remarks regarding U.S. military actions during Ramadan, the sacred month for Muslims.

Omar, representing Minnesota, had earlier criticized U.S. actions by stating on X that the country had a history of launching attacks on Muslim nations during Ramadan. This comment came just before planned joint airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel targeting Tehran.

The “Squad” member argued that the U.S. seemingly targets Muslim countries not due to breaches of international law, but because of their religious beliefs.

Mace, who is campaigning to become the governor of South Carolina, retorted by accusing Omar of prioritizing sympathy for “terrorists” over American and Israeli interests.

“I don’t care if it’s Ramadan,” Mace responded in a direct post to Omar, questioning her continued defense of those who wish harm upon Americans and their allies.

Ramadan commemorates the revelation of the Quran, the sacred scripture of Islam, to the Prophet Muhammad. It is marked by fasting, sacrifice and worship and this year falls between Feb. 17 and March 19.

In a separate post. Mace argued Omar “didn’t care that over 1,000 Jews were slaughtered on a Jewish holiday.”

“Maybe sit this one out terrorist lover,”  the South Carolina Republican seethed.

Omar quickly condemned the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terror attack on Israel but immediately called for a “deescalation and ceasefire” from Israel.

The Minnesota Democrat’s post was also fact-checked on X.

“The Iraq invasion began on March 20, 2003 and major combat operations were declared over on May 1, months before Ramadan that year,” read the note adding additional context.

“Surveys also show that in Iran only about 37% of the population identifies as Muslim, while nearly half describe themselves as non-religious,” it continued.

In response to Mace’s criticism, Omar shared a post from lefty columnist Wajahat Ali that read: “Nancy Mace is fine bombing fasting families in Iran during Ramadan for Operation Epstein.”
