Alleged Austin Bar Shooter Wore Iranian Flag Shirt Under Hoodie

A 53-year-old suspect, accused of opening fire at Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden in Austin, Texas, on Sunday morning, reportedly wore a shirt featuring an Iranian flag beneath his hoodie during the attack.

According to reports, the suspect’s hoodie displayed the phrase “Property of Allah.” CBS News also reported that a Quran was discovered in the vehicle used by the suspect to arrive at the scene of the shooting.

The shooting suspect was killed while exchanging gunfire with police and identified as a 53-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Senegal. Two people were killed in that attack and fourteen others wounded.

CNN highlighted that the individual was wearing a shirt adorned with an Iranian flag design underneath the hoodie labeled with “Property of Allah.”

Furthermore, CBS News revealed that officials executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence on Sunday, uncovering an Iranian flag and photographs of Iranian leaders.

Authorities have yet to determine a motive for the shooting. Among the survivors, 14 individuals were transported to the hospital, with three in critical condition.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that President Donald Trump has been briefed on the incident.
