In a phone interview with CNN this morning, President Donald Trump asserted that the United States military is delivering significant blows to Iran, although he hinted that the most substantial offensive actions are yet to come. “We’re knocking the crap out of them,” Trump declared, emphasizing the current effectiveness of U.S. military operations.

The President expressed his confidence in the military’s capabilities, stating, “I think it’s going very well. It’s very powerful. We’ve got the greatest military in the world and we’re using it.” This remark underscores his belief in the strength and preparedness of U.S. armed forces.

Throughout the conversation, Trump covered several topics, including the anticipated duration of the conflict, his surprise at the extent of Iran’s countermeasures, and the prospects for leadership change within the Iranian government. These insights suggest a complex and evolving situation that the administration is closely monitoring.

When questioned about additional efforts by the U.S. to assist the Iranian populace in reclaiming control from their government, Trump affirmed, “Yes.” However, he cautioned that the immediate priority is public safety. “We are indeed. But right now we want everyone staying inside. It’s not safe out there,” he advised, highlighting the precarious conditions on the ground.

Asked whether the US is doing more beyond the military assault to help the Iranian people regain control of their country from the regime, Trump said, “Yes.”

“We are indeed. But right now we want everyone staying inside. It’s not safe out there.”

And it’s about to get even less safe, the president said.

“We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon.”
