Savannah Guthrie, accompanied by her elder sister Annie, penned a poignant message to honor their mother at a memorial outside her residence in Tucson, Arizona.

The celebrated host of the Today show was visibly moved as she walked arm-in-arm with Annie and her brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, near the $1 million abode of Nancy Guthrie nestled in the Catalina Foothills.

As reported by NBC News, they left behind a heartfelt note of their own.

“Momma, we miss you so much!” it expressed. “Our hearts are broken.”

“We are standing on ash, scorched earth. But, mom, though we are surrounded by so much darkness and uncertainty, our love burns bright,” the note continued.

A video released by NewsNation captured the moment they gently placed flowers, as Annie, overcome with emotion, leaned on her husband and sister for support.

Savannah also leaned on her family members as they joined for a group hug in front of the many flowers and messages left for their missing 84-year-old mother.    

She shared a photo of all the flowers and other items well-wishers have left in front of the house on social media.

‘We feel the love and prayers from our neighbors, from the Tucson community and form around the whole country,’ she wrote, adding, ‘please don’t stop praying and hoping with us. bring her home.’

Nancy disappeared from her home in the early morning hours of February 1, when a masked man was caught on her Nest doorbell camera footage. 

The unidentified suspect, who is believed to be about five-foot-nine inches, was seen carrying a holster for a gun and an Ozark Trail backpack that is exclusively sold at Walmart.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC on Monday authorities are now also considering whether that backpack may have been purchased through a resale website.

‘What I’m saying is, there’s all kinds of angles,’ he noted, adding that authorities are ‘looking at a lot of DNA, but that’s still being researched and worked.’ 

Without any new leads in the case, though, the FBI has said it will be scaling back its search for Nancy, with agents moving to a new command post more than 100 miles away from Phoenix. 

At the same time, the Daily Mail revealed that Savannah is preparing to return to New York City soon.

The TV host, who shares two young kids with former Democratic political adviser Michael Feldman, has decided she must get her work life back on track as the search for her mother continues. 

‘She can’t stay in Arizona forever,’ a source told the Daily Mail. ‘Her kids and her life are in New York City.

‘It’s what her mom would want her to do. Nancy was Savannah’s biggest cheerleader.’

At the same time, Savannah is continuing to offer a $1 million reward for any information about her mother’s whereabouts. 

She posted a series of videos on social media on Friday explaining how tipsters can collect the reward and shared a Today Show report explaining how to submit tips to the FBI.

‘Please – be the one that brings her home,’ Savannah wrote in a caption. ‘Tips can be anonymous, reward can be paid in cash, as explained here.’ 

But she had acknowledged for the first time earlier in the week that her mother might not be alive.

‘We need to know where she is, we need her to come home,’ she said in a video posted to her Instagram account.

‘We also know that she may be lost, she may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves,’ Savannah said through tears.

Nanos, the Pima County Sheriff, though, was more optimistic.

‘I personally believe Nancy Guthrie is alive,’ he told NBC news.

‘That’s my personal opinion, but that’s because I put faith in. That’s just who I am.’
