Comanchero raids

A synchronized series of raids targeting criminal syndicates took place across Australia and New Zealand, resulting in the confiscation of illegal drugs, cash, and weapons.

These operations, spearheaded by Taskforce Morpheus, were directed at outlaw motorcycle gangs in each state simultaneously.

The taskforce comprised a coalition of local and federal law enforcement, Australian Border Force, and the Criminal Intelligence Commission, focusing on alleged affiliates of these notorious biker groups.

This particular operation targeted the Comancheros.

Authorities executed search warrants at 51 locations nationwide, discovering a cache of machetes, knuckle dusters, ammunition, and illegal substances.

“This effort has successfully removed drugs and firearms from circulation, delivering a strong warning,” stated WA Police Detective Acting Inspector Sean Wright.

Police made 56 arrests and laid 168 charges in total.

“Anything associated with outlaw gangs was targeted – their homes, their club houses, the motor vehicles they drive,” Wright added.

The work of Taskforce Morpheus is 24/7, gathering intelligence on organised crime groups like the Comancheros to disrupt and dismantle their networks.

“Tomorrow it could be you, next week it could be you, everyday we’ll be targeting one of you,” Wright said.
