A recent report suggests that Russia is providing Iran with intelligence regarding the locations of U.S. military forces in the Middle East, aiming to assist Tehran in countering American operations.
Since the beginning of “Operation Epic Fury” a week ago, Russian officials have reportedly shared details about the positioning of U.S. warships, aircraft, and other military assets, according to three sources cited by the Washington Post on Friday.
An insider knowledgeable about the intelligence described it as “a pretty comprehensive effort,” reflecting the extent of Russian support.
This disclosure follows statements by President Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth, who both declared that the U.S. military has achieved “total dominance” over Iran, claiming the Islamic Republic has already “lost everything.”
However, the report leaves some ambiguity regarding the full scope of Russia’s role in providing such target information.
The Kremlin has criticized the attacks on Iran, labeling them as “a preplanned and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state.”
