According to Jack Schlossberg, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is “definitely” gearing up for a presidential bid in 2028. Schlossberg, Kennedy’s estranged cousin, shared this insight while discussing his own campaign for Congress in Manhattan with The Post this week.
Schlossberg indicated that Kennedy, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), is set to become a prominent figure in the presidential race, fueled by his Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative. “He’s going to run. He has a substantial following. The MAHA supporters are almost fanatical about him. What he says may not always make sense,” Schlossberg remarked.
He continued, “I’ll give him credit for being a masterful storyteller. He excels in his role.”

In 2023, Kennedy Jr. attempted a political run as an independent before withdrawing and endorsing Donald Trump in August 2024. Despite this, he refuted claims last year on the platform X that he was preparing for a presidential campaign, responding to assertions from right-wing activist Laura Loomer.
Kennedy Jr., previously ran as an independent candidate in 2023 before aborting his campaign and backing Donald Trump in August 2024.
He denied in a post on X last year that he was laying the groundwork for a presidential run, in response to comments from far-right activist Laura Loomer.
“Let me be clear: I am not running for president in 2028,” adding that his loyalties were to Trump.
In December, his third wife actress Cheryl Hines told News Nation that she didn’t think her husband would run for president.

“Gosh, he’s not going to run for president,” Hines said.
But she added that he “didn’t think he was going to go into politics – and the next thing you know he’s telling me he wants to run.”
Schlossberg told The Post this week that his cousin’s defection from the Democratic Party dynasty to serve in a Republican government caused a huge schism in the family.
He said his mother, US ambassador Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, was reluctant to speak out against him, but ultimately issued a public letter to Senators, calling Kennedy Jr. “a predator” with “dangerous views” on the eve of his confirmation hearings for HHS last year.
“My mother didn’t want to put the letter up,” he said, adding that he posted the letter on his social media platforms.
“She wishes that it wasn’t happening but it wasn’t her choice. We were pushed into the pool and we didn’t want anyone to be confused about what we believe and what President’s Kennedy’s support would be and how dangerous it was to our future.”
Schlossberg also previously trolled RFK Jr. when he wrote a recipe for a Make America Healthy Again “energy ball” cocktail, which he claimed should include: “2 oz of Jew blood (ashkenazi not Sephardic). 4 cups of male j–z. Baked at 300 degrees until totally dry like your wife,” referring to Hines.
He later deleted the post from his social media.
