A Denpasar court today found Australian men Paea I Middlemore Tupou and Mevlut Coskun guilty of premeditated murder, attempted premeditated murder, and illegal possession and use of firearms.
Two Australian men will each spend more than a decade in a Bali prison after they were found guilty of the gangland-style murder of a Melbourne father in June last year.

Zivan Radmanovic, 32, lost his life in a shower of bullets inside the bathroom of a lavish villa on June 14. He was on vacation with his partner, his sister-in-law, and her partner, Sanar Ghanim.

Today, a court in Denpasar convicted Australian nationals Paea I Middlemore Tupou and Mevlut Coskun of premeditated murder, attempted premeditated murder, and the unlawful possession and use of firearms.

Radmanovic’s widow, Jazmyn Gourdeas, who took cover under bed sheets during the attack, was present in the courtroom with their 13-year-old son as she witnessed the verdict being delivered.

Outside the courtroom, Sary Latief, the lawyer representing Gourdeas, expressed her client’s dissatisfaction with the sentencing outcome.

“They had anticipated the judges would impose harsher penalties,” Latief remarked.

“The victim’s wife is at a loss for words. She feels deeply let down by the Indonesian justice system,” Latief added.
