In a shocking incident tied to a late-night street takeover, a mob infiltrated the lobby of a luxury apartment tower in downtown Los Angeles, engaging in a scuffle with staff and leaving behind a trail of destruction, including broken glass and flipped furniture.

The turmoil erupted at about 3 a.m. on Sunday at the Circa LA Apartments, located on South Figueroa Street, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to authorities speaking to KTLA, the group, which had been part of a nearby street takeover, moved into the upscale high-rise and began vandalizing the premises.

KTLA obtained video footage capturing the moment when an individual threw an object at a suited man who appeared to be a staff member in the lobby.

The worker initially stood outside but retreated inside as more staff members congregated in the lobby. The video shows the crowd eventually forcing their way in.

Outside, some individuals continued the destruction, shattering the building’s glass doors and windows. One person was even seen throwing a metal barricade at the entrance.

Inside the lobby, the group could be seen flipping over furniture and running through the building as chaos erupted.

At least one person appeared to grab a box from the front desk while others rummaged through it before the gang scattered as sirens approached, according to the footage shared by KTLA.

Police said the building sustained exterior damage including broken glass doors and windows.

No injuries were reported and no victims filed a report related to the incident, though the video shows at least one punch being thrown.

It was not immediately clear whether any arrests had been made.
