Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, announced that the country’s military operation in Iran will continue indefinitely. Speaking on Wednesday morning at the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) headquarters in Tel Aviv, Katz stated, “This operation will proceed without any time limit, until we reach all the goals and decisively win the campaign.”

While Katz did not specify the military objectives of the operation, dubbed “Roaring Lion,” he emphasized the responsibility of Iran’s future lies with its citizens. “We should also continue to do it in order to enable the Iranian people to rise and act, and get rid of this regime. Eventually, it’s up to them,” he remarked.

Yair Golan, leader of the left-wing Democrats party, criticized Katz’s approach on social media platform X. Golan wrote, “A war doesn’t need a time limit, it needs an exit strategy and a minister of defense who isn’t a clown. But for two and a half years, this government has excelled only at one thing – opening fronts – and getting stuck there.”

“A war doesn’t need a time limit, it needs an exit strategy and a minster of defence who isn’t a clown. But for two and a half years, this government has excelled only at one thing – opening fronts – and getting stuck there.”
