Democrats Laugh in the Faces of Americans As Unpaid TSA Agents Quit in Droves Over Schumer Shutdown

The ongoing shutdown, now entering its 26th day, has been labeled the “Schumer Shutdown.” While it is only a partial closure impacting mainly the Department of Homeland Security, its repercussions are felt by everyday citizens who rely on government services for their daily lives.

House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been attributed blame for the current situation.

The Democratic Party’s dramatic stance on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reforms is seen as impractical. Despite their awareness, they seem set on ensuring that the burden of their political maneuvers falls on American citizens.

A note to the Democrats: November 2024 did not secure you control of the House, Senate, or the Presidency, which means you aren’t in a position to dictate terms.

The ongoing political strife is causing considerable disruption, particularly in the travel sector:

In the above clip, posted by DHS and retweeted by the TSA, NBC News’ Tom Costello lays out the issue:

The concern tonight, those long TSA lines could soon turn spring break travel plans into a travel nightmare, with TSA officers set to miss their second paycheck on Friday.

Out of 50,000 TSA officers, the agency says 300 have quit since the start of the shutdown. And six percent are now calling out.

But on Sunday, more than half the TSA officers failed to show up for work at Houston Hobby [airport], leading to three and a half hour delays with lines snaking through the terminal. For people worried about spring break, should they be expecting three hour lines?

We can debate the merits of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in another article (and we have), but is it fair to ask them to show up to work for no pay? No.

[Throughout] all of it, as Democrats say, they’re open to funding TSA, but are demanding ICE policing reforms. Yet, again, frontline TSA workers are struggling to pay the rent, gas, and groceries.

White House Blasts Dems ‘Reckless’ DHS Shutdown As TSA Lines Get Longer

I’ve seen many articles across the interwebs about how people are getting really sick of being asked to tip for just about everything. Now you can add getting through security to the list, thanks to the Democrats:

Today, Denver Airport asks travelers to donate 10 and $20 gas and grocery cards to TSA officers.

Now, with spring break, about to kick into high gear, [there is] concern that more officers will call out, or simply quit.

Democrats have been proving over and over again that they have no ideas to improve the country, no vision to make America great again, and no policies other than open borders, reducing election security, and pushing radical gender theories. All that’s left to them is demonstrations, theatrics, and divisive rhetoric.

It would be funny, because it’s just so freakin’ pathetic, but it has consequences not just for spring breakers, but for those of us who need to travel to take care of a sick relative, run their businesses, get their kids home safely, and live their lives.

“We hate Trump” is not a governing philosophy worth its weight in salt, and Schumer and Co. are a disgrace. Americans need to make them pay in November.

Editor’s Note: President Trump is leading America into the “Golden Age” as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
