On Friday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced a significant decline in Iran’s missile capabilities, stating that their missile production has plummeted by 90%, while the deployment of their one-way suicide drones has seen a 95% reduction.

“Iran lacks comprehensive air defenses, an air force, and a navy,” Hegseth remarked during a press briefing at the Pentagon. “Their missile systems, launch platforms, and drones are being systematically targeted and eradicated. As a result, their missile activity has dropped significantly, and their one-way drones have nearly ceased operation.”

He further elaborated, “Just two days ago, we effectively dismantled Iran’s entire ballistic missile manufacturing capability. Every enterprise involved in the creation of missile components has been rendered inoperative.”

Hegseth emphasized that critical infrastructure, including buildings, complexes, and production lines throughout Iran, has been neutralized. “While we continue to intercept and eliminate their remaining missile stockpiles, the focus is on crippling their ability to produce more. Their manufacturing facilities, military plants, and defense innovation hubs have been decisively compromised,” he concluded.

“Buildings, complexes and factory lines all across Iran, destroyed. So we’re shooting down and destroying what missiles they still have in stock, but more importantly, ensuring that they have no ability to make more. Their production lines, their military plants, their defense innovation centers, defeated.”
