Anti-ICE agitator tries to block SUV at DTLA federal building

Downtown Los Angeles experienced another night of unrest, marked by bold confrontations with law enforcement vehicles.

In a dramatic scene on Friday evening, a protester opposing ICE operations found herself atop an SUV’s hood as she attempted to obstruct its exit from a federal complex in the heart of the city.

Footage shared by ABC 7 reveals the woman, yet to be identified, defiantly standing in front of the vehicle, her hands firmly placed on the hood as the driver attempted to depart from the Roybal Federal Building.

Amidst the chaos, other demonstrators were seen launching objects at the moving SUV.

Despite the SUV’s maneuvers, the determined protester refused to clear its path, stepping backward while maintaining her stance.

In a tense moment, she eventually climbed onto the hood, briefly riding along before tumbling onto the roadway.

She appeared uninjured and returned to the protest after peeling off the car, ABC 7 reported.

Several commenters on social media said that the protester got what she deserved.

“My mother taught me not to play in the street,” one wrote.

“I understand hood ornaments are making a comeback,” another added.

“Hope the SUV is ok,” a third chimed in.

The protest outside the federal building marked the latest in a string of violent anti demonstrations at the location.

In late January, hundreds of unruly rioters descended on the federal complex, blocking a loading dock and throwing items at officers in a hostile standoff with authorities.

A student-led protest at the compound in February saw officers face off against hundreds of teenagers, landing one agent in the hospital after being struck in the head.

The ongoing violence led officials to fortify the complex with imposing 8-foot metal fencing that could become permanent.
