A Sanford man has been hit with 100 charges in connection with a significant child pornography investigation, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Uthmeier revealed that 37-year-old Blake McKinniss was arrested after state investigators searched his residence last week.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) reported that agents had received more than 70 cyber tips in January regarding the online uploading of child pornography. The material allegedly involved the use of artificial intelligence to create illicit images. These tips ultimately led investigators to McKinniss, prompting a full-scale investigation.

Blake Edward McKinniss, 37, of Sanford (Seminole County Jail)

In the course of the raid, detectives uncovered multiple files on McKinniss’ electronic devices containing child pornography, Uthmeier stated. However, the discovery did not end there.

The attorney general’s office revealed in a statement that McKinniss had decorated children’s bedrooms in his home, despite having no children of his own. Within these rooms, officers found a vast array of sexual paraphernalia, including child-like sex dolls, alongside children’s toys and clothing.

Investigators also noted that the sex doll was “anatomically correct,” and they discovered children’s underwear at the scene.

As a result of the search, McKinniss was taken into custody and now faces the following charges:

  • 53 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material

  • 46 counts of possession of A.I.-generated child pornography

  • One count of possession of a child-like sex doll

“Law enforcement and prosecutors walked into a house of horrors upon executing this search warrant,” Uthmeier said. “This guy could spend the rest of his life in prison, and I’m grateful our team worked to ensure he never has access to our kids. I also thank Rep. Plakon for supporting legislation to keep convicted predators away from children.”

McKinniss is held in the Seminole County Jail on a $350,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 1,026 years in the Florida Department of Corrections, the release shows.
