SA One Nation candidate dumped as alleged sexual assault charges revealed
A South Australian One Nation candidate has been dumped on the eve of the election after it was revealed he is reportedly wanted in the UK for allegedly failing to appear in court over sexual touching charges.

A candidate for the Adelaide seat, Aoi Baxter, is reportedly wanted by a UK court for allegedly failing to respond to charges of non-consensual sexual touching of a woman.

Following the revelations, Baxter was dropped by the One Nation party. His image was swiftly removed from pre-election materials, dealing a significant blow to the party, which currently ranks as the second most popular in the state.

Baxter was initially hesitant to address the situation but eventually provided a brief comment.

“The only thing I want to say is that I believe in the principle of innocent until proven guilty,” Baxter stated to 9News.

“That’s all I’m prepared to say for now; however, I will release a full statement soon.”

The party has not yet issued any comments regarding the allegations.

Earlier, One Nation South Australia leader Cory Bernardi said success at the election would be having any candidates win a place in parliament.

“I can guarantee you if we have one voice, two or 10, we will have the strongest voice for all South Australians.”

Despite One Nation’s confidence, rivals are not convinced.

“I couldn’t name you a single positive policy that One Nation are talking about implementing,” Liberal leader Ashton Hurn said.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said One Nation was a party based out of Queensland that had “zero plans for South Australia”.

Today, the premier was focused on major infrastructure as he toured a concrete facility in a nod to Labor’s commitment to the Torrens to Darlington Project.

“My only hope is that I can wake up on Sunday morning and just get back to work,” Malinauskas said.
