An Arizona duo is accused of engaging in a month-long series of road rage incidents, which included an altercation involving spitting on an individual and hurling rocks at his vehicle while his 8-year-old daughter was inside. This confrontation took place in a Walmart parking lot.

Arianna Foster, aged 20, and Alexander Black, 24, are facing multiple charges such as aggravated assault, criminal damage, and endangerment. According to a probable cause statement accessed by Law&Crime, the initial incident occurred on February 19 in Glendale, Arizona. The victim was with his young daughter in their car when they noticed Black and Foster tailing them in a damaged 2009 Kia Spectra, which lacked both front and rear bumpers. Police noted that Black drove so closely that the victim couldn’t see the car’s headlights.

Seeking clarity, the victim pulled into the Walmart parking area and asked Black for an explanation by rolling down his window. At that moment, Foster allegedly spat at him, hitting his face. As the victim dialed 911, Foster reportedly approached his car and threw a river rock from a short distance, authorities stated.

Attempting to escape, the victim was allegedly pursued by Black wielding a hammer. Although he managed to flee, the victim returned to gather more details about the vehicle. Black allegedly lobbed a rock at the victim’s car, striking the hood and barely missing the windshield, resulting in approximately $2,000 in damages and posing a threat to both the victim’s and his daughter’s safety, according to police.

Just four days later, the same pair allegedly instigated another road rage episode targeting a different individual at the same Walmart location. Black reportedly honked and closely followed the other vehicle. After pulling alongside, Foster allegedly attempted to hit the car with a brick but missed. A second attempt was successful, causing around $2,500 in damage, as noted in the affidavit. Surveillance footage linked the same vehicle to both incidents, capturing its license plate this time, which led to the identification of the suspects.

This time, the video captured the license plate number and cops identified the suspects.

The third and final alleged road rage incident occurred on March 18 on southbound Loop 101 near Olive Avenue. A driver was trying to get around the suspect vehicle but Black allegedly sped up, cut the driver off and slammed on his brakes. The victim crashed into the back of Black’s car. Black allegedly kept driving but he eventually pulled over.

The victim reportedly walked up to the Kia and said, “What the hell was that?” Foster allegedly pulled out pepper spray and sprayed the victim in the face. Black took a hatchet and chopped off one of the mirrors and hit the passenger side door, cops wrote. He also stabbed the victim’s front and passenger side tires with a knife, according to the complaint.

Cops noted that the victim was “scared” as the events transpired and “felt like he was going to die.”

Police arrested Black and Foster and took them to the Maricopa County Jail where they remain on a $150,000 bond.
