A startling road rage incident in Florida involved a 38-year-old woman, who allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman by striking her in the face. In the chaotic sequence, she also attacked a 68-year-old bystander attempting to assist and bit a police officer who was trying to apprehend her.

Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell faces charges including burglary, aggravated battery on a pregnant individual, battery on a person aged 65 or older, and resisting arrest with violence.

The confrontation unfolded on February 23 at the intersection of Millenia Boulevard and Millenia Plaza Way in Orlando. Police released video footage showing Shaffer-Brockwell exiting her SUV to confront the pregnant woman’s vehicle. She climbed onto the car’s hood, repeatedly punched it, and then opened the driver’s door to physically assault the woman inside. At the time of the attack, a child was also present in the car.

According to a police report cited by local Fox station WOFL, Shaffer-Brockwell shouted, “Honk at me again,” during the altercation.

The victim recounted that Shaffer-Brockwell had been tailgating her and suddenly stopped her vehicle, leading to the physical confrontation.

In addition to attacking the pregnant woman, Shaffer-Brockwell is accused of scratching the face of a 68-year-old woman who stepped in to help. The suspect fled the scene, but police soon apprehended her after victims provided a detailed description.

But Shaffer-Brockwell apparently wasn’t done with her rage.

Cops allege Shaffer-Brockwell resisted arrest. Body camera footage showed Shaffer-Brockwell pulling her arms away from the officer as he tried to place her into custody.

“Tell me why,” the suspect said, per the video.

The officer said he was arresting her for battery as he tried to take her into custody. Eventually, he pinned her to the ground. But Shaffer-Brockwell bit him, the video showed.

“Don’t bite me,” the officer exclaimed.

“Get the f— off me,” Shaffer-Brockwell screamed.

Cops arrested her and took her to the Orange County Jail. She has a court date scheduled for March 30.
