President Trump posts letter from Billy Graham's son about fate of his immortal soul

WASHINGTON — In a letter shared on Truth Social this Palm Sunday, President Trump received reassurance regarding his eternal soul.

Franklin Graham, the son of the renowned televangelist Billy Graham, conveyed to the President in a private note that his “soul is secure” and he is “destined for heaven,” provided he embraces Jesus Christ as his savior. This letter was originally sent last year.

Graham, a significant evangelical supporter of Trump, reached out to him last year following a light-hearted remark by Trump questioning his own chances of reaching heaven.

“Understanding the certainty of your soul’s destiny is crucial, ensuring you will spend eternity in God’s presence,” Graham emphasized in his letter dated October 15, 2025, which Trump posted on Truth Social. “Jesus Christ is the sole savior from Hell.”

Graham further explained, “The path to Heaven is through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He came to earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and God resurrected Him on the third day. Accept that through faith and invite Him into your heart, and you are assuredly heaven bound, I promise you.”

Graham also highlighted the achievements under Trump’s leadership, such as the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas and the release of the last Israeli hostages, describing these as “incredible accomplishments.”

Days earlier, Trump quipped to reporters aboard Air Force One that he was uncertain about his fate after he dies.

“You know, I’m being a little cute. I don’t think there’s anything gonna get me in heaven. I really don’t,” Trump told reporters at the time — in a rare moment of public self-doubt.

Last month, during the National Prayer Breakfast, Trump changed his tune and grew more bullish about whether or not he will make it through the pearly gates.

“I was just having fun. I really think I probably should make it. I mean, I’m not a perfect candidate, but I did a hell of a lot of good for perfect people,” the president declared, resolutely.

Trump grew more introspective about God and the afterlife after his brush with death following the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pa., when a bullet came within a quarter inch of killing him back in 2024.

In August 2025, for example, he revealed that he is trying to get to heaven. Trump has also mused at rallies about his parents being in heaven.

Graham has long been a backer of Trump, having indicated as far back as 2011 that the real estate mogul was his preferred candidate.

In his letter to Trump, Graham also quoted Romans 10:9: “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
