A social media post intended to critique former President Donald Trump inadvertently put President Joe Biden in the spotlight, but not in the way the Democratic National Committee (DNC) might have hoped. The DNC’s official account on X shared an Easter-themed post featuring former President Barack Obama alongside the Easter bunny, captioned with “Better times at the White House.” However, notably absent from the post was any mention of the current president, Joe Biden, which quickly caught the attention of social media users.
Progressive journalist Ken Klippenstein was among those who noticed the omission, commenting, “I like how they just skip past Biden lol.” This sentiment was echoed by other users, who were quick to point out the absence of any reference to Biden in subsequent posts from the DNC’s account.
One user, Western Lensmen, highlighted what they saw as a missed opportunity, sharing a clip from a memorable Easter moment involving Biden. The clip showed Biden appearing somewhat puzzled as he was redirected by an Easter bunny mascot, which had become a well-known incident during his presidency. “Imagine ignoring one of the most iconic moments of the most recent Democrat presidency,” they remarked.

Another user took a similar tone, questioning the decision to overlook Biden’s recent Easter incident by saying, “Weird how you skipped over the last Democrat President’s famous Easter moment.” This unexpected focus on Biden’s past slip-up rather than the intended critique of Trump provided an ironic twist to the DNC’s original post.
“Imagine ignoring one of the most iconic moments of the most recent Democrat presidency,” user Western Lensmen replied with a clip of a seemingly confused Biden getting redirected by an Easter bunny mascot.
“Weird how you skipped over the last Democrat President’s famous Easter moment,” another user jabbed.
“Even better times,” a pro-Biden user account shot back with an image of the 46th president and Jill. “#BetterWithBiden”
“Oof, brutal smack down of Joe Biden,” conservative pundit David Marcus chided.
The DNC didn’t immediately respond to a request for a comment.
The White House was set to hold the traditional Easter Egg roll on the South Lawn on Monday.
Trump had kicked off his Easter celebrations on Sunday with praise of Allah, an f-bomb, and a threat to ensure Iran’s leaders burn in hell if they don’t open up the Strait of Hormuz, where over a fifth of the world’s seaborne oil flows through annually.
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump posted in a signed Truth Social Sunday. “There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy b—rds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”
By contrast, Obama gave a traditional Easter well-wish, with the 44th president wishing Americans “a joyful holiday filled with reminders of the enduring power of faith and hope.”
