In Flagler County, Florida, the local Sheriff’s Office has turned to social media to highlight a recent incident involving a group of young boys causing quite a stir at a neighborhood park. This occurrence unfolded last week and has left the community buzzing with concern and curiosity.
According to a statement from the deputies, approximately 30 boys, who are around middle school age and have earned the nickname “PG-13,” were observed causing a ruckus at Holland Park Pavilion last Friday. Their antics ranged from playing a live-action version of “Frogger” with passing cars to scaling a water fountain to reach the roof, and even tearing through the park’s lawn on e-bikes.
The group also managed to destroy a changing table, prompting the Sheriff’s Office to quip that leaving teenage boys unattended often results in something being broken. This lighthearted yet pointed remark underscores the potential for youthful exuberance to cross into destructive behavior.
In response to the incident, the Sheriff’s Office has urged parents to remain vigilant about their children’s activities when they are out of sight. The message emphasizes the intended use of Holland Park as a place for picnics and play, rather than a venue for reckless stunts or impromptu demolition exercises.
The release humorously warns, “Holland Park is for picnics and play — not junior varsity parkour, demolition practice, or audition tapes for ‘Impractical Jokers: The Next Generation.’ If you recognize your aspiring stuntmen, we encourage you to have a chat… before we do.” This serves as a reminder for parental involvement and community awareness to prevent such mischief from escalating further.
