A widely recognized rice brand found in stores nationwide is being pulled from shelves due to concerns over potential “foreign material” contamination.
Wegmans announced the recall of its two-pound Lundberg Organic Jasmine White Rice bags on April 4 but did not disclose specifics about the contaminant involved.
Customers are offered a complete refund for the rice suspected of contamination.
Lundberg Family Farms, the rice’s producer, confirmed to USA Today that they initiated the recall across the nation as a precautionary measure.
