In a shocking incident early Friday morning, a 20-year-old woman was shot in the neck by her boyfriend outside a Target store on Staten Island, according to police and sources. The suspect managed to flee the scene on a motorcycle.
Authorities reported that the shooting took place at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Richmond Avenue in New Springville, part of a bustling shopping center. The victim was quickly transported to Staten Island University Hospital North, where medical staff have listed her in stable condition.
Investigators believe the shooting was a result of domestic violence, identifying the perpetrator as the woman’s boyfriend. The gunman made his escape on a motorcycle and, as of several hours later, remained at large.

Sources indicated that the woman was likely entering one of the stores within the complex at the time of the incident, though it was unclear if she was heading specifically to Target.
He rolled off on a motorcycle after the shooting, and had not been caught hours later, police said.
The victim was apparently heading into one of the stores in the complex when she was shot, but it was not immediately clear whether it was the Target, the sources said.
