The town of Erwin, Tennessee, came alive on Friday as residents gathered at Gathering Place Park to celebrate the launch of the Apples on Main tourism initiative. This event marked the introduction of the Apple Art Walk, a lasting artistic feature in the heart of downtown Erwin. This installation pays homage to the rich history of Erwin and the cherished Unicoi County Apple Festival, an annual tradition for nearly half a century. The display consists of eight uniquely designed apples, each symbolizing the community’s enduring connection to its cultural roots.
