A light aircraft has crashed into a hangar in South Australia, just a short distance north of Adelaide.
Authorities responded to reports near Kings Road in Parafield, where the small plane collided with a hangar during its landing attempt at the local airport.
South Australia Police have evacuated the immediate vicinity as emergency teams manage the situation.
“Please avoid the area if possible,” a police spokesperson advised.
Details on the number of individuals aboard the plane or present in the hangar at the time have yet to be confirmed by emergency services.
Parafield is situated approximately 15 to 18 kilometers from the heart of Adelaide’s central business district.
It is the second light plane crash in Parafield in a matter of months.
The pilot and sole occupant walked away from the crash uninjured.
The plane caught fire on impact and flames spread to nearby grass.
