In Los Angeles, a housekeeper formerly employed by Kylie Jenner has initiated legal action against the celebrity, alleging severe mistreatment.
On Wednesday, Juana Delgado Soto filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The defendants include Kylie Jenner, her corporation Kylie Jenner Inc., staff supervisor Itzel Sibrian, Tri Star Services, and La Maison Family Services. This legal challenge emerges shortly after another lawsuit was filed by a member of Jenner’s cleaning staff.
Soto claims she reached out to the star of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” through a letter, detailing the abusive behavior she endured from other employees under Jenner’s employment.
The legal document accuses the parties of racial discrimination, harassment, unpaid wages, and neglect in addressing or preventing further harassment and discrimination. Specifically, Soto alleges that Sibrian, her immediate supervisor, ridiculed her English language skills, belittled her intelligence, and questioned her inability to speak fluent English.
The lawsuit further claims that in early June 2024, Sibrian retaliated against Soto for her earlier complaints. This purported retaliation included a reduction in her hourly wage from $41.66 to $35.00 without justification, altering her work hours to eliminate overtime, and assigning excessively demanding tasks.
Kylie Jenner’s representatives stated that the beauty entrepreneur has yet to review the legal documents and therefore refrained from commenting on the matter.
