The twist? Elordi, who stars in the latest hit adaptation of “Wuthering Heights,” had previously withdrawn from attending the prestigious Cannes Film Festival earlier this month, reportedly due to a broken foot.
However, images from the Hawaiian beach reveal no sign of a cast or orthopedic boot, and Elordi was even spotted behind the wheel during a double date in LA with Kendall, Kylie, and her longtime boyfriend Timothée Chalamet. This has led some fans to speculate whether the injury was a convenient excuse to skip the French festival, which some argue has lost its star-studded appeal in recent years.

But, the insider warned that while Elordi is afforded a degree of respect due to his recent streak of hits – in Wuthering Heights, Frankenstein and the TV series Euphoria – if his success slows, public opinion may swiftly turn against him.
‘The bigger issue for Jacob is his ego – if he ever hits a rough patch with a streak of unsuccessful films or TV projects, the criticism and karma could come fast’, the insider said.
‘But at the moment, he remains one of the most sought-after young actors in the industry. And despite these recent appearances, especially with him being seen out and about with Kendall, people are still largely taking him at his word that he’s injured.
‘Even though Cannes would have gone out of its way to accommodate him and minimize any walking, there is still some lingering disappointment that he chose not to attend. But ultimately, there’s only so much anyone can do about it.’

The pair, it is said, have been friendly for years. Elordi attended Jenner’s 2022 birthday bash and they were seen locked in conversation at the Vanity Fair Oscars party last month.
They were then pictured deep in conversation at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in March this year – following Elordi’s Best Supporting Actor award loss (for his role as the creature in Frankenstein) at the awards ceremony.
Elordi has been linked to a number of high-profile women, including model Kaia Gerber and, most recently, influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli.
For her part, Jenner has enjoyed a string of famous boyfriends, including professional athletes Devin Booker and Ben Simmons, as well as rapper Bad Bunny.
Kylie, 28, has been dating Chalamet, 30, since April 2023.
