During a recent rally in Rockland County, President Trump took a moment to ridicule New York Governor Kathy Hochul, particularly highlighting his opposition to the state’s congestion pricing strategy. Trump referred to Hochul as a “nice woman” but quipped that she “is never going to take you to the promised land.”
Trump shared an anecdote about his interactions with Governor Hochul, suggesting she frequently reaches out to him. “She calls me up a lot,” he said, adding that he can easily recognize her calls due to his ties to Buffalo, although he noted he hasn’t heard much from his friends there recently.
Imitating the governor’s voice, Trump recounted, “Hi, Mr. President, it’s Kathy. Hi! Hi! Could you help me here, could you help me there? And we’re having a little problem getting this, and we’re trying to get that. Could you give me a little hand?”
He then described his response: “I say, ‘Kathy, you’re always killing me, why the hell would I give you — ?’” He continued, portraying her persistent efforts, “‘Well, I just thought I’d try. Okay. Thank you very much.'”
Trump concluded his story by expressing his disbelief at her actions, noting, “And the next day she goes out — ‘We must stop Donald Trump.’ It’s crazy,” attributing her behavior to what he called “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

“And the next day she goes out — ‘We must stop Donald Trump.’ It’s crazy. Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
He added: “I don’t want to say anything negative. She’s a very nice woman. But she’s never going to take you to the promised land, ever. There will never be a promised land with Kathy.”
