Trump in excellent health after physical at Walter Reed, White House doctor memo

President Trump is reportedly in “excellent health” and fully capable of executing his responsibilities as the nation’s leader, according to a memo released by the White House on Friday evening. This assessment comes from his physician following a recent physical examination.

The detailed findings of Trump’s six-month health evaluation were conducted by Dr. Sean Barbabella at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center earlier this week. The results are promising, stating that the president’s health remains robust.

Dr. Barbabella highlighted Trump’s strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical health in the memo. “President Trump maintains excellent health, with notable strength in cardiac and neurological functions,” he noted.

In addition to his physical health, the memo emphasized Trump’s ability to manage a demanding schedule filled with high-level meetings and public engagements, which supports his overall well-being. “His cognitive and physical performance are excellent,” Barbabella affirmed, underscoring Trump’s readiness to fulfill the responsibilities of his office.

Perhaps most notably, the president’s “cardiac age” was assessed to be significantly younger than his actual age, approximately 14 years younger, which further underscores his fitness to serve as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.

The president’s “cardiac age” was measured to be about “14 years younger than his chronological age,” Barbabella found.

The doctor also discovered “improvement” in “slight lower leg swelling” that was found in his last exam, and noted the “scarring” on Trump’s right ear from the gunshot wound he suffered during the July 2024 assassination attempt against him.

Trump is taking two cholesterol control medications and aspirin. Barbabella noted that Trump’s aspirin regime, along with frequent handshaking, is contributing to the “common and benign” bruising on his hand.

The president also took the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and got 30 out of 30 questions correct.
